Two brothers, one troubled tabloid girlfriend
Last year, the unreliable gossip rags were full of accounts of romance between Sienna Miller and Matthew Rhys. And now, this morning, what should hit my Google Alerts inbox but unreliable-gossip-rag accounts of romance between Sienna Miller and Balthazar Getty.
Who knows whether there’s any truth in the reports of the actress and “her new multi-millionaire lover”? The purportedly incriminating photos are laughably tame (”the oil heir” … pumps his own gas!). Of course, I only looked at about a dozen of them before I was overcome with shame. Maybe photo 23 or 24 was gossip dynamite.
However, three things do come to mind in the wake of such hyperbolic accusations:
1. If the story’s made up, it’s kind of a measure of the rising profile of these actors that somebody’s bothering to fabricate salacious stories about them.
2. If the story’s true, then either Tommy’s stupidity over the past season has rubbed off on Getty, or vice versa.
3. Either way, one thing’s for sure: Annable’s next.

Methinks it’s more of a case of who you hang out with. If they happen to be someone that the paparazzi stalk then hey, you’ll be talked about and stalked whilst you’re with them too.
If the brothers hang out with a nobody I don’t think the tabloid media would bat an eyelid. If Dave Annable were to start spending time with say, one of the Olsen twins or Britney Spears, then he’d be next!

Well, I haven’t seen anything about him and Britney, but Dave did get linked to an Olsen a while back.

I can’t really believe all the gossip.
I didn’t believe it last year, when Matthew and Sienna were ‘an item’. Then there was this ‘war’ going on between Matthew Rhys and Rhys Ifans, which was laughed away by Matthew.
Then there was the story that Ioan Gruffudd and Matthew were ignoring Rhys Ifans over Sienna and they would no longer see eachother socially, which at the time with Ioan in Bulgaria, Rhys in England and Matthew in LA, would have been a difficult thing to pull off in the first place.
Then there was the news that Matthew and Sienna were ‘back together’. The proof: promotional pictures for the movie Edge of Love where Matthew is standing between Sienna and Kiera Knightley. Only Kiera got cut OFF the picture, making it seem that Matthew and Sienna were together.
Naturally Rhys Ifans had boasted that he was going to fight it out with Matthew at the premiere of the movie, but he was a no-show.
And now there is Balthazar Getty…. Sigh… Yes I guess Dave Annable is indeed next. At least Sienna can do what Lena couldn’t, go for the Walker brothers trifecta

Pfft, ya think the tabloids would let a little thing like truth get in the way of a “good” marketable story? Never! LOL
If you are photographed hanging out with someone of the opposite sex who is single or having a rocky relationship, or better still, known to have broken up some marriages then all bets from the the actual truth are off and you’re having an affair/dating.
I can’t believe they spread the rumour that Sally and Dave were dating once! Hilarious.

And people are just so eager to accept it as the truth.
I noticed the whole Sienna/Getty thing when someone on the ABC-forum started to yell they should fire Getty… I was amazed by how willing that person was to accept a gossip rag as telling the truth, without looking at where the news is coming from, how often Sienna hasn’t been ‘linked’ to so-called new partners or if there is even a shread of evidence in the pictures.
Mind-boggling.
