Tonight: Spa silliness with the Walker women

So, are you all excited about tonight’s wacky road trip with Kitty and Sarah and Nora acting nutty at a spa? Crashing weddings! Being noisy in the quiet room! Silly, silly Walkers!
Personally, I’m kinda dreading it.
No show does road trips better than this one, but I like Nora least when she’s doing her passive-aggressive, bossy-oblivious thing, and it looks like we’ve got that in spades tonight. Maybe it will be more fun than the previews make it appear — and surely there are many, many fans who think the previews appear to be a hoot. Me? Meh.
Fortunately, according to ABC’s press release on tonight’s episode, “States of the Union,” there’s more going on than just Walker woman wackiness. Unfortunately, one of those plots involves Tommy crossing “a dangerous line in search of companionship.” Since Emily Rose is listed as a guest star, presumably the line crossed involves Lena, the new office manager/Harper-associated bad-news woman. Really, I would rather be locked in a sauna with Nora at full blather than see Tommy cheat.
Also plugged in the release is Rebecca’s suspicion of Justin’s suddenly turbo-powered recovery, so it looks like they’re jumping right in to the downside of talking an addict into taking pills. Which makes me wonder, why on earth would Nora, after pushing and dragging and kicking to send her boy down a very dangerous path, decide to skip town for a bit? Sure she’s been stressed, and I’m sure they’ll explain it all very logically. But the thing about being a control freak is, if you set up a situation based on your will to control it, you don’t get to take a vacation.
For the final plot string tonight, we finally seem to have the unraveling of Saul’s secret identity. We’ve been heading there since Michael Nouri appeared as his now-out old friend in last season’s finale, “Matriarchy,” and Nouri’s on the guest list again as the release mentions that “Kevin presses Saul to make a confession about his past.” If the show is going to pursue this plot, as interviews published over the summer have suggested, it’s really time to get on with it now, I think. Saul’s been marking time in the first few episodes, with short scenes aimed at stirring the pot without actually revealing its contents. I hope this isn’t just another quick pass by the issue.
Luke MacFarlane’s on the guest list again as Scotty, which makes me wonder how he might play into this. As Kevin’s friend and sounding board? Or maybe he’s just working that wedding in Ojai.

Gotta beg to differ on this one, Terri. The Walker Women vacation looks like an absolute riot–and we really need some laughter after the drama of these past few weeks. Plus, it’s the first time the 3 lead women have a storyline all to themselves. Can’t wait!

I, for one, cannot wait for tonight. The Walker women will deliver even if there will be drama with the other Walker’s. You can’t go wrong with a road trip!

I’m sort of with you Terri. If we get some of the Senator I’m happy. I’ve been told there are “phone calls.” I think I’d rather see the Senator cheat then Tommy. Maybe with Dave Annable? He loves RL/Robert. Unlike Kitty who seems to be all over the place with this engagement - but rarely with the Senator. I have to agree with Travis - always running home to the family and the Senator “isn’t getting any.” RL fans gasped across the internet the 2 makeout scenes she shoved him off her. She was a bit better to him last week.
But we know these 3 are going to be great. I think we’re getting more of the Senator in November . . .
Spoiler Alert - I’ve read Scotty is the one that sees Saul and tells Kevin.
