This blog is one year old!

Happy one-year anniversary to Watching Brothers & Sisters! December 1, 2006, saw my very first post on this brand-new blog. It was a slow time in Walker-ville, with the last new episode, “Mistakes Were Made, Part 2,” having been broadcast on November 19, and the next new one, the never again re-run “Light the Lights,” not due until December 10. So on that first day of December, I wrote about the People’s Choice Awards, and how we should all vote for B&S as favorite new drama.

During that first week, I wrote posts on:

A lot has happened over the past year for Brothers & Sisters. The show has gone from being a longshot to being a solid hit, from being pretty well ignored to getting its fair share of publicity and an Emmy for Sally Field. In the Walker world, Kitty’s gone from losing her job over the senator to taking a job with him to marrying him (we think) tomorrow. Jason Lewis’s storyline is long over; ditto Kitty-Warren-Amber and Marika Dominczyk. Kevin’s back with his pre-December-1-2006 boyfriend, but Sarah and Joe are through, Tommy and Julia are on the rocks, Justin’s with a chick who makes Fawn look like good relationship material, and there’s a whole ‘nother sister we didn’t have an inkling of a year ago.

It’s been a fun year writing about these folks, and I so appreciate all the comments you’ve been leaving. I’m looking forward to many more years of Walker chronicles. Would be nice if the writers and producers would make up, though, so I don’t have to write about nothing for the rest of the season.
