Retcon Patrol: 2-01 “Home Front” Part 5

Today we continue our look for inconsistent or comment-worthy moments in the Brothers & Sisters second season with a look at the final part of Episode 1. Read earlier posts for the first, second, third and fourth parts, then hop right in here.
31:31
Geeze, we’re spending a lot of time watching Tommy walk to the door here.
31:43
Aw, Julia left the house. And she’s not crying.
32:30
And another Walker family motto, from Kitty: “We’re not really fit to be seen in public.”
32:34
By the way, what is this Kitty’s wearing? It looks like a nightgown with a sweater over it.
33:28
And with Julia there, Sarah finally has someone to dish about Joe with.
33:35
Jason walks in through the unlocked front door that Julia had to ring the bell to get in a few minutes ago. Maybe Tommy forgot to lock up.
33:54
The donut cake! Adorable, but … Nora just had a dozen donuts lying around? Those look like the kind of packaged store-bought donuts that Nora wouldn’t go near.
34:23
Kevin and Jason in the garden of twinkling lights. Does Nora always have these little lights in the trees just in case they’re needed for romantic interludes?
34:39
Kevin finally says I love you, and for what? A storyline that went nowhere.
35:40
Classic toast from Sarah: “To my sister Kitty, who might be conservative with her politics, but has always been liberal with her love.”
36:02
Robert’s toast is that Kitty always continue to defy expectations. Be careful what you wish for, bub.
36:21
Split-personality Nora now apologizes to Kitty for being mean. Kitty looks like, “Yeah? Heard it before.”
36:58
And Robert gets a phone call that Can’t Be Good News.
37:16
The kid who plays Cooper is really pretty natural in this. It looks like they just wind him up, with donuts maybe, and then let him go.
38:58
What’s with this top Sarah is wearing? It looks like she made it in high-school home-ec class.
39:29
So by “Whatever you need, I’m here,” Joe means, “Unless you need me to be a grown-up, in which case, no can do.”
40:46
Rebecca gives her “summarizing the Walkers” speech.
42:07
Would we indeed say that Justin is “the heart of this family”? They only seem to value him when he’s missing or injured.
42:19
Rebecca needs Justin. This could really just as well be a girlfriend video as a sister video.

****34:39 Kevin finally says I love you, and for what? A storyline that went nowhere. ****
Not to mention the starry-eyed “I love you too” from Jason… Pretty meaningless in the end. Total waste of a good character and a good story-line.
(Let it go, Syl, and brrrrrreathe…..)
And, of course, I’m happy it lead back to Scotty.
