I’m not much of one for promotional sweepstakes for TV shows, but whoever came up with this one really knows the show. Starting today, at www.brothersandsisterssweeps.com, you can find out about the “Brothers & Sisters Stay Connected Sweepstakes,” for which the prize is an iPhone and $200 to keep it in service for, what, like a month or two?
The winner also receives a “Brothers & Sisters” VISA gift card for taking the family out to dinner. Not sure whether there’s anything in the rules that requires you to have a loud argument or sex in the coatroom or some other disruptive dining experience like a proper Walker.
The contest is only open to the residents of areas covered by 19 specific ABC affiliates, so if you’re not in Charlotte, Chicago, Dayton, Des Moines, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Norfolk, Omaha, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Roanoke, San Diego, Toledo, or Washington, D.C., there’s no staying connected for you.
Still, regardless of your personal entrance eligibility, you gotta admit, for a show that’s gotten so much fun out of these siblings’ constant cell-phone interconnectedness, it’s a pretty clever concept for a contest.
