New episode tonight, and that’s it for March

CigarsFire up your TVs and Tivos, there’s a brand new episode of Brothers & Sisters tonight. It’s called “The Other Walker,” and according to ABC’s description: “News of William Walker and Holly Harper’s illegitimate daughter, Rebecca, shakes the Walker family to the core.” Or something like that. The preview scene showing on YouTube (right) and the ABC.com site has a kind of goofy ring to it, with a funny double-date meltdown for Sarah and Kitty. The two sisters squabble about their new half-sister while McCallister and Joe — two guys you wouldn’t expect to have a lot in common, actually — try to make polite small talk, bond over their mutual befuddlement at the endless sibling bickering, and finally ditch the dueling Walkers to go enjoy some cigars. Also showing the lighter side of the Walkers is another YouTube clip, titled “Flawed,” that uses clips from “Something Ida This Way Comes” to amusingly illustrate these words: “Some families are so obviously flawed, so completely different, so thoroughly dysfunctional, together, they remind us of our families. The next great family drama has arrived.” It’s arrived, all right, but after this week it’s denying us new episodes for about a month, so enjoy tonight while you can.
