Memo to Tommy Walker

Hey, Pantload!
Sorry to borrow Justin’s epithet from a couple of episodes ago, but frankly, you stink.
When you’re feeling all superior to Sarah because her affair ruined a company and yours didn’t, you might keep a couple of things in mind:
It is only by the grace of your wife that you are not in divorce court right now, with your share of Walker Landing on the chopping block, and
It is only by the low-self-esteem of Lena that you were not hit with a multi-million-dollar sexual harassment suit that could have sent your little company reeling.
If you haven’t found out already, you soon will that Sarah’s mistake was not in having an affair with a consultant, but in trusting somebody who was not trustworthy. You might want to mull that one over a bit as you install your father’s mistress as the CEO of your family business, you smug SOB.
I used to like you, Tommy. I used to be you. I sympathized with your resentment of the way your father leap-frogged Sarah over you into Ojai’s top spot, and I respected your decision to walk away and start something of your own.
Which is why coming back this way, gleefully maximizing the humiliation of your suffering sis, is not what I want to see from you at all.
It’s been a rocky year for you, Tommy, a character-changing year, and not in a good way. You’ve got one more episode to prove that you really are an upstanding family guy after all. Don’t let me down.

Seriously, Terri. I was never a huge Tommy fan, but he had points of decency in Season 1.
Now? He sucks. And just you watch him take Holly’s side this Sunday. Because God forbid he supports a family member and not his dead father’s mistress.

I could sympathize with Tommy in season 1. William passed over Tommy, who was working at Ojai, for Sarah who was not part of the business. He seemed competent and in touch with his employees. But now it seems that William was correct. Tommy doesn’t seem to have a clue. He trusts all the wrong people, like Holly, and dumps on his family. I understand his anguish after losing his child and having his wife walk out. But Lena? ick!
I do still like his tough love with Justin in Season 1. I want “Season 1 Tommy” back!

I agree about Tommy … although he did do a good thing when he gave Kevin the idea to get married to Scotty. He was not suggesting it from a romantic perspective, but it ended up being a very sweet and romantic storyline and one of the best ones of the past four episodes.

Sorry, but the idea of domesticatED partnership was Justin’s, not Tommy’s.
I know this is unpopular, but in all fairness, I think it was right of Tommy to step in when he did. Holly was wiping the floor with Sarah, Sarah was WAY too emotional. (Damn, what is wrong with my Sarah?) He prevented Sarah from making an ever bigger fool of herself. Sueing Holly? Based on what? And with what proof? Sarah doesn’t stand a chance. It is much wiser to step back and make a case first. Sarah should stay miles away from Holly, for her own good.
And he might have even given Holly a piece of his mind if Sarah hadn’t pushed him into self-defence mode.
