Meet the “Date Night” guest star

WindTreat Williams may be the highest profile actor guesting in the “Date Night” episode which re-ran tonight, but he’s not the hottest guest star. That would be the Santa Ana Winds, which played the role of metaphor for Kitty’s unsettled state. I grew up with those hot winds and they can be kind of creepy, I guess, although I remember them mostly for starting fires, blowing up dust, and drying the heck out of contact lenses. If you’re curious to know about winds so upsetting they would cause Kitty to crawl into bed with Nora, this article from the Weather Doctor Almanac seems suitably atmospheric: “The Santa Ana: California’s Evil Wind.”
