Hilary = Rebecca?
Boy, this doesn’t sound like good news. TV Guide’s “Ask Ausiello” answers a question on the casting of Rebecca, Holly and William’s illegitimate and as yet unseen daughter, with this: “No decision, but I hear they’re aggressively pursuing Lizzie McGuire’s alter ego, which doesn’t exactly fill me with excitement.” Nor anyone else, I’d think. I’m not a Hilary Duff hater; I generally enjoyed her on the 50 million episodes of Lizzie my daughter made me watch. But have we seen any particular evidence that the girl can do drama? Or for that matter, portray something other than a cute chubby-cheeked preteen? I thought she looked pretty scary in Cheaper by the Dozen 2, and certainly didn’t do much in the way of acting there. Then again, since there seem to be a lot of Holly haters out there, maybe this is just a way of assuring that her daughter will be like nails-on-a-chalkboard to us, too.
