Bloggers & Sisters and a new show runner

The writer’s blog Bloggers & Sisters drops some information in its latest entry about incoming creative folk, including new show runner Mark Perry. He’ll be replacing Greg Berlanti, who’s off to run his own shows Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone next season (although as commenter Scott pointed out on a previous post, he’ll be hanging around in an executive capacity).
So who’s this Mark Perry? According to his IMDB profile, he has served as executive, supervising, or co-producer for the following shows: The Wonder Years, Law & Order, Picket Fences, Moon Over Miami, Party of Five, Push, Time of Your Life, First Years, Pasadena, One Tree Hill, and What About Brian?
Aside from Wonder Years and some of Picket Fences, that’s a whole lot of shows I’ve managed to view very little to none of. For those more versed in the Perry oeuvre, what do you suppose this means for Brothers & Sisters? Good news or bad news? More of the same, or a new direction? Can we root for Berlanti’s shows to succeed, or do we have to hope they tank and he comes back? Share your thoughts in the comments.
