And the Once and Again invasion continues
First we heard that Marin Hinkle would be guesting as Robert’s ex-wife. And now, another Once and Again veteran joins the Brothers & Sisters ranks: According to an item in TV Guide’s Ausiello Report, Steven Weber will be coming aboard for a “significant arc as a love interest for Sarah. They meet when he comes to advise the Walkers on expanding Ojai Foods.
Back on Once and Again, Weber was a love interest for Hinkle’s Judy. I remember when he dropped into that show, playing a character who was charming and seductive and utterly unreliable, tempting Judy into a bad relationship that recurred over a couple of seasons before turning happy in the end.
Though probably still best-known for playing Tim Daly’s brother on Wings, Weber was most recently seen on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, a show I also blog about for 451 Press (yes, despite the fact that it’s cancelled), so this news gives me a happy reason to link to myself. He played another gloriously shifty character on that Aaron Sorkin creation, a network chairman with a conscience buried deep enough that he’s ticked when someone disturbs it.
I’m excited to see what sort of character they’ll come up with for him this time, and how he’s going to mess with Sarah’s head. I hope he’ll be a good addition to the cast, in the tradition of Rob Lowe, and not a wince-worthy one, in the tradition of Peter Coyote.
So who will be the next Once and Again cast member to make the jump? Surely there’s got to be a role here somewhere for Sela Ward.

Speaking of Rob Lowe and Steven Weber . . .
Weber was a guest star on Rob’s shortlived but great series “The Lyon’s Den.” Weber played a creepy serial killer and the scenes with Rob’s character having to question him in prison were pretty dark and amazing. They were incredible together and Weber made a good crazy twisted killer.
Wish they’d be buddies or something on this one and get some scenes together.
Still hoping for some Senator and Kevin scenes too.
